Rebecca Joy is quite the little talker these days! At 10.5 months she already says 8 words: wow, baby, Mama, Dada, ball, uh-oh, ow, and wee. It's really fun to hear her say so many things!! Her favorite - and mine - is "uh-oh". It's just so cute!! You can see for yourself on the video below!!

For the longest time she just went backwards in the walker. Now she just goes in circles!! And you can hear her as she makes the sound effects to go along with it!! And she still growls!

Christmas

What do you mean??? Nobody even told me that there was a 'naughty' list!




Christmas Eve - there ARE presents at home - for ME?!?!?!

We have a crawler!!! Christmas week she took off and hasn't stopped since!!! She's also pulling herself up.

We stayed home until Christmas morning and then went to Denver to be with family.

Christmas morning - she got the hang of ripping the paper, which is where right where the fun was for her!

On New Year's Day we rented a cabin at Sylvan Lake State Park for the night. Rebecca enjoyed being pulled in the sled while Mommy snow shoed.

Rebecca ate her first bug on this day!!! The bug had been in my hot chocolate and I threw it to the ground in disgust quickly realizing that I would need to pick it up before putting Rebecca down! But I forgot! And she got it!!! She seemed to enjoy the extra protein. Shortly afterward, she tasted her first dirt! I had gotten her in her snow suit to go outside and set her on the patio while I put on my boots and snow shoes. Jack had just commented on how it was good that she had on her gloves because she was trying to pick up the dirt. Because she is a determined little girl, she found another to explore the taste of that dirt - she bent down with her face on the ground and started eating!!!!

Rebecca is exploring the face of 1 day old Alena. She now says baby and mama and may be saying ball and dada (although we're certain!), in addition to WOW and growling!! She kissed the baby and then growled at her!!
